Jan Fiala

Jan Fiala is a Legal Officer at MDAC, based in its Budapest headquarters. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia in 2003. He also holds a degree in International Relations from the Bratislava University of Economics. He received a LLM in International Human Rights Law from Central European University in Budapest in 2003. In 2004 he completed a three-month internship at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. He has been MDAC’s Legal Officer since March 2005 and is responsible for our work in the Czech Republic and Hungary. Jan is bilingual in both Hungarian and Slovak. He enjoys extreme sports like swimming in public swimming pools, football and taking the train between Budapest and Bratislava.
